Put your own footage behind the story.
A real product demonstration or a familiar setting can make a short video more specific. In Remixure, each scene can use an uploaded clip as its background. Set the source start time and scene duration to select the moment you need. Framing controls keep the subject visible without changing your source file.
Choose the moment, then check the frame.
- Select the scene and expand its Background video controls.
- Confirm you own the footage or have permission to use it. Upload an H.264 MP4 of up to 6 MB and two minutes, no more than 1080p and 60 fps.
- Set Start clip at to the source time you want. A four-second scene beginning at two seconds uses source seconds two through six. The source must contain the entire selected range.
- Play the preview. By default, the clip fills the frame with a centered crop. Use the framing controls to keep faces, products and important action visible.
- Save and export. Watch the downloaded MP4 to check the source trim, text contrast, cuts, and final frame.
A clip replaces the scene’s still image. It plays without its original audio. Add a recording, music, or reviewed AI narration under Audio and music when the video needs sound.
Keep the subject in view.
Open Frame this footage. Fill the frame crops to your video format; Show the whole clip leaves space over the scene background. Choose a horizontal or vertical focus, rotate in quarter turns, or mirror left-to-right/top-to-bottom. Focus follows the final picture after rotation and mirroring. Scene text, graphics and captions stay upright.
Check writing and product labels before mirroring. Framing belongs to this scene and saved version, keeping the original bytes and chosen source time intact. Undo restores the previous settings; Restore default framing returns to the centered crop. Replacing footage resets its framing; split and duplicated scenes retain it. If footage framing is temporarily unavailable, saved settings remain visible. Restore default framing and save a new version to export, or try again later.
Split a scene without restarting the action.
Splitting a four-second scene into two halves keeps the source moving forward. If the original starts at two seconds, the first half uses seconds two through four and the second uses seconds four through six. You can give those halves different text while preserving the action.
Duplicating a scene instead repeats its selected source moment. Use that when the same demonstration needs two different messages. Undo restores the earlier composition if the edit does not work.
Show a second view in the same scene.
Use picture in picture for a product close-up, demonstration detail or second camera angle. Choose private footage, place its box, and set when it appears. The inset plays silently above scene graphics and below timed captions; your background and separate soundtrack remain.
Join two moving views.
Choose an incoming dissolve, color fade or cut between scenes. A dissolve overlaps both moving clips and shortens the total video. Review caption and soundtrack alignment before saving and exporting. Dissolves have shorter export limits: 12 scenes and 60 seconds at 720p, or 30 seconds at 1080p.
Know the current export limits.
Exports use H.264 MP4 at 30 fps. Choose a 720-pixel short edge for videos up to two minutes, or a 1080-pixel short edge for videos up to one minute when 1080p is available in your workspace. Save the resolution choice before exporting. More output pixels do not restore detail missing from your original footage. A render can include up to 12 MB of source media in total. For a larger original, prepare a short range from a private recording up to 64 MiB and 20 minutes. That separate workflow produces small editable footage and audio files. You can review suggested speech highlights from a completed transcript before preparing clips. AI-generated footage remains unavailable.
Files remain private to your workspace. You can find and reuse the same footage in another video without uploading it again. Your own licensed media also works with editable templates and an AI storyboard draft. Review rights and the completed export before sharing outside the workspace.
Open the video studio →For sideways or mirrored footage, rotate, flip and frame the picture. Background footage and video insets have separate orientation controls; wording and timed captions stay upright.
